ABDC History

Washington DC - Chicago il - Seattle WA

ABDC was founded in Chicago, IL by Alex Banks, when he moved his consulting practice to the Midwest from Washington DC. In DC,  Alex worked as a government consultant primarily building project management intranet portals and eLearning authoring and LMS solutions. In addition to his development practices, he was also the director of training for the ADSI (Aligned Development Strategies Inc.) classroom training center, where he put together custom web development curriculums and taught web development programming classes.

In Chicago, Alex founded ABDC and began designing the CMS system that was used by the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. Since then, ABDC has been deploying custom web applications and providing developers with the classroom training they need to be successful on the job. Alex Banks is the principal consultant at ABDC and has daily interface with all development projects.

Alex has recently relocated to Seattle in order to test prototypes of a future GPS safety system for skiers.  ABDC is currently looking for business relationships and clients in the Puget Sound area to help build our West Coast business.

Our Projects

ABDC spent its early years developing large scale enterprise solutions for corporations and government agencies. We realized that these same solutions would be even more valuable for small businesses, but the cost of these systems exceeded most small business IT budgets. It was our goal to find a way to make these same solutions available to small businesses, and we have done so with the introduction of the WebBusiness Framework.

WebBusiness is a collection of compiled code libraries that was designed and developed by ABDC to handle reusable common web application functionality in a reusable way. By implementing packages from WebBusiness, ABDC can deliver powerful CMS, Membership and Security and eCommerce based solutions. WebBusiness is also designed to serve as a base application that all future development can easily plug into which will allow your web solution to grow with the technology over time.
